Waterina Suites – Kengo Kuma’s first project in Vietnam

Waterina Suites – Luxury apartment project in District 2 – Ho Chi Minh City is the first product in Vietnam by Professor Kengo Kuma – the leading contemporary Japanese architect, designed the Tokyo Main Stadium Olympic 2020.

“The design of the apartment should reflect the experiences and cultural impressions of the locality”.

Kengo Kuma has had a meeting with the press and his Vietnamese counterpart to share views on the architecture and story behind his first project in Vietnam. Inspired by the bustling rivers surrounding the city’s busiest in Vietnam and the Northwest terraced fields, the exterior design of the Waterina Suites is soft waves. Every apartment in the building has a river view balcony, unlimited vision and quality of Japan.

One of the most unique architecture in Vietnam today

Exterior ideas inspired by water waves are described by Kengo Kuma: “In every corner of the balcony, you will see the wavy lines on the outside of the building, the waves of the infinity pool and the waves of the Saigon River, perfectly blend with each other “. For the interior, the traditional Vietnamese pattern he applied to the hall with the thought “design of the apartment should bring the characteristics and experience of culture, cultural landmarks of the locality in there”.

The design of Waterina Suites at the same time achieved a spectacular double: break the entire square structure of the majority of projects on the market, while providing feng shui living space, covering experienced comfortable, open-minded, harmony with heaven and earth. In the midst of architectural space and the lack of planning Saigon, Waterina Suites emerged as a distinctive, impressive and elegant point.

One of the most unique architecture in Vietnam today.
